This past weekend, I attended my beautiful cousins wedding at The Palm Hotel in Miami! It was a gorgeous celebration full of family, friends and amazing food. And the decor of her wedding was perfect for our South Florida weather. 

Now about my outfit! When I went shopping, I had not planned anything in my mind that I wanted to buy. We all know that when you envision an outfit in your head and then get to the store, they never have exactly what you had envisioned, which can be such a dilemma. So I went to the mall with an opened mind and not a clue of what to buy. 

My last stop was Banana Republic, and thank goodness because I was not having luck at any other store. I saw this black peplum dress right when I walked in a knew I needed to try it on. It is from their new collection and looked extremely versatile; something that I always look for in an outfit. After trying it on, I knew this dress was great for an occasion like a wedding, but also has the ability to be dressed down for a more casual look for work, while still being extremely chic! 

Once I tried on the dress, I had "envisioned" a green pair of chandelier earrings, and lucky for me, Banana Republic has this STUNNING pair displayed in their jewelry section. Oh and the best part, everything in the store was 30% off so I was definitely purchasing both the dress and earrings. For my shoes, I opted for a cheetah heel that I wore with the dress seen in this post from my trip to Puerto Rico (sorry, I did not photograph them before). 

All in all, I think this look came together perfectly. I am extremely happy with my purchases and I was very comfortable during the wedding. Now I have a beautiful peplum "LBD" that is multi-functional and great for many different affairs; plus a striking pair of teal earrings that I know I will get a lot of use out of. 

Fashion's Night Out Miami Style

For my first Fashion's Night Out, I had a fabulous experience with my friend Daniella, as we attended The Villages of Merrick Park event! We arrived at Neiman Marcus without any expectations and were pleasantly surprised that Grey Goose was sponsoring FNO and their were mini bars everywhere giving out free drinks! On top of that, STK provided some hors d'oeuvres and we stumbled upon a chocolate bar (filled with cookies and chocolate covered strawberries and pretzels) and a candy bar (with air heads, twizzlers and taffy). Needless to say, we were completely ecstatic with just the snacks and drinks! 

As we waited in our drink line, Shireen Sandoval from Channel 7's Deco Drive asked us if we would like to be interviewed. Of course we said yes, and I have attached our Deco Drive clip here, so make sure to check it out!

Merrick Park Fashion Night

After we were interviewed, we walked around to all of the stations (photo booth, the nail bar, braid bar, and numerous food bars), and then watched the Neiman Marcus fashion show, which had many great looks! What I noticed for this fall season is that green is all the rage, navy is the new neutral, anything leather is fall appropriate and statement broaches and bags are essential.
